Growing up, I often joked with my father and mentors, vowing never to succumb to the pitfalls of aging. However, life had other plans. It was only after completing my degree in Respiratory Therapy and practicing critical care medicine that I truly comprehended the intricacies of the human body, especially cellular optimization.
At 35, weighing 255 lbs, I hardly recognized myself. Diagnosed with NAFLD/NASH and showing symptoms of pre-diabetes, every meal seemed to be an uphill battle against my body. But today, I stand transformed at 188 lbs. and 12% body fat, having mastered the art of eating for purpose over pleasure.
